Eagle Hill School’s Sports & Fitness Center Officially Opens

On Monday, our team had the pleasure of attending the Eagle School’s opening ceremony for the 62,000 square-foot Ronald M. Baglio Sports & Fitness Center located in Hardwick, Mass. Stanmar designed and built the facility, and we are honored to have been given the opportunity to be a part of the Eagle Hill community, providing them with an athletic center that students and faculty will use for years to come.

Hundreds of people gathered to view the new fitness center. The school’s headmaster, PJ McDonald hosted the opening, explaining that the facility was inspired by the many studies linking exercise to drastic improvements in educational benefits. The book “Spark”, by John J. Ratey, M.D., was the catalyst for this new building, and Dr. Ratey, whose plaque hangs in the entrance lobby, was present and spoke at the opening. PJ dedicated the building to Ronald M. Baglio, who for 18 years was the assistant headmaster for student life at the school.

The opening was a huge success – now it’s time fore faculty, students, and community members to start exercising.
